The distributed StableNet® Agents are one of the keys to the very good scalability and very high degree of automation in the overall solution. They provide the interfaces to the network infrastructure and thereby help with various very important tasks: distributed parallel discovery across multiple domains and customers to cope with very large infrastructure environments, collection of data (e.g. SNMP, trap management, flow management, log management), activation and automation (access to devices, authentication, configuration, governance). Furthermore, the agents are used for extended monitoring including also media scripts and simulation, e.g. of VoIP calls, video calls, etc.
The StableNet® installations are centrally administered via the StableNet® Server. All distributed StableNet® Agents are provisioned, configured and updated from the central StableNet® Server and central database. It requests the data from the agent. Multi-server operation requires StableNet® Telco as a base.
To interact with the StableNet® system, there is a Java rich client as well as a web portal available. The rich client was designed for daily operations by the network and system administrators. StableNet® also includes a multi-client web portal. The web portal users have access to pre-generated reports and real-time data such as availability, trend indications, and SLA status information. The web portal is based on Web 2.0 technology and it can be customized for dedicated use by many different users and customers. The StableNet® Mobile App complements the GUI and allows for simplified usability wherever you are.
In addition, there is a powerful APIs that can be used to attach IT management systems and OSS/BSS solutions heading towards an automated Zero-Touch IT Services Operations Center.

Tagging in StableNet® does practically allow for a complete flexibility of any mix of tagging attributes and the order the tree navigation will show up.
Tagging uses an “inheritance data model”. The inventory tree hierarchy can be modified or configured as required. Multiple tree type views can be preset or can be set even ad-hoc. For example, you can create a view with a first level containing countries, the second level cities, and the third level the brand of the routers.
