Open House Day at Infosim® Base

May 24th, 2019
Würzburg, Germany

On May 24th, on the occasion of our new building we had officially invited to our open house day at the Infosim® Base. From 3pm to 7pm our visitors could visit our office building at the Hubland area in Würzburg, meet other tenants, and listen to the presentations of our speakers.

After their arrival, our guests had the opportunity to take some snacks, drink some coffee or a glass of sparkling wine in a relaxed atmosphere in our conference area on the top floor while talking to each other and enjoying the view from the roof terrace to the Marienberg Fortress on this sunny day.

Then, the presentations started in our conference center. Most notably, we were pleased about the greeting words of the Mayor of Würzburg, Christian Schuchardt, who made time for his personal attendance at this event.
Prof. Dr. Axel Winkelmann from the Chair of Business Administration and Business Informatics at the University of Würzburg provided our guests and us an interesting insight on the subject “Digitization”.
Subsequently, Prof. Wolfgang Fischer described the process of building the Infosim® Base from the architect’s perspective.
Since all parts make up the big picture, our tenants took the opportunity to present their respective companies and workspaces within the Infosim® Base: Mayflower GmbH, EMnify GmbH, Main Intelligence GmbH, Matthias Hölzer-Klüpfel, and Goldbeck.
Dr. Christian Andersen of the ZDI Mainfranken concluded the presentation series by giving some insight into the activities of the ZDI, as well as further information on the buildings “Tower”, “Cube”, and “Incubator”, all of which are also located on Hubland. We would like to explicitly thank them once again for the opportunity to visit the ZDI sites subsequently.
Further, our guests could enjoy a guided tour through the entire Infosim® Base and the offices to gain an insight into the daily work environment of the various companies.

At 7pm, the official part of the event ended and our visitors had the opportunity to still their hunger with fresh BBQ grilled on the terrace above the rooftops of Würzburg. While eating, they could watch the handball match “TSV Bayer Dormagen” vs “DJK Rimpar Wolves”. Those who liked it a bit more rustic or preferred to sit outdoors could move to the lower terrace with its seating area, and enjoy the handmade sandwiches from the “Bacon Bomber” food truck. Until late in the evening our guests enjoyed eating and drinking together in front of the impressive view of the sunset beyond the Marienberg Fortress.

Our résumé:

A big thank you to all guests who found their way to Infosim® Base on our open house day! We received a lot of positive feedback and see the event as a great success. Many guests said that they already look forward to our next events or could also imagine using our conference center for their own events. Now we feel like we have truly arrived at the Würzburger Hubland! If you should be near, you are always welcome to stop by at the Infosim® Base.
