DiHP – Service for Integrated Trading of Production Capacities
The DiHP project aims to create an integrated market platform for safeguarding production losses and bottlenecks through the automated trading of production capacities by using 3D printing as an example. Here, manufacturing companies can flexibly offer and demand capacities on the market. In particular, SMEs will be able to react to fluctuations in demand and serve previously unrealizable large orders.
A prototypical implementation for additive manufacturing serves as an optimal starting point for an expansion into other industries, such as the plastics or process industries. At the centre is a new approach to combining scientific models and technical solutions. A particular challenge here is that marketplaces must be individually designed for the respective use context, i.e. for the communication of the preferences and capacities of the market participants. By means of standardized interfaces, rapid and simple integration of the platform into the existing IT infrastructure of SMEs (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) is to be made possible. Initially, the feasibility and economic benefits of the platform will be demonstrated by focusing on the area of additive manufacturing. In a broad-based project consortium, the demonstrator will be further developed and its functionality extended to other industries and areas of application. The findings will then be transferable to other industries, supported by the business and operator models defined in the project.
