Director for Asia Pacific and founding member of Infosim® based in Singapore
Joerg is responsible for Infosim® Asia Pacific strategy and operations. He leverages more than 16 years of experience in the planning, design, and management of service assurance solutions for Telco and Enterprise customers.
Previously, Joerg developed wireless network IP transport solutions for Rohde & Schwarz, a Munich-based world technology leader in diverse segments such as wireless communication, mobile, and RF electronics equipment. Prior to his career at Rohde & Schwarz, Joerg assisted Telecom Malaysia in the planning of the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC). The MSC is a 15 kilometer wide by 50 kilometer long corridor that runs from the second tallest building in the world to the center of Kuala Lumpur southward to one of the largest airports in the world. MSC is built on the premise that if you create an environment where information sharing and knowledge creation are facilitated, it will spur local and world class companies to expand their research and development units there. The result of MSC has been the attraction of the world’s biggest shared services providers, such as DHL, Shell, HSBC Schlumberger, Ericsson, Fujitsu, and BMW who have set up Asia Pacific and global center operations in the region. Joerg’s planning work for the MSC initiative established an environment of success for the project and also directly supported Malaysia’s national agenda of Vision 2020 which sets out Malaysia’s plan to become a fully developed and knowledge-based economy by 2020.
Joerg started his high-tech career at the Center for Advanced Technology in Telecommunications designing software for planning IP over ATM networks. Joerg completed his undergraduate studies in Communication and Electronic Engineering at Regensburg, Germany. He received his Master’s in Communication and Electronic Engineering from RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia. He is fluent in English and German.
