Infosim announces StableNet^® Telco 5.8 with enhanced Configuration Management & MPLS Support

Würzburg/Singapore, December 23rd, 2011 -- Infosim, the technology leader in ultra-scalable business and service assurance solutions, proudly announces the immediate availability of it's flagship software product, StableNet^® Telco version 5.8 today. The new release brings a large number of feature enhancements, as well as improved scalability for deployment in very large networks.

Infosim's Service Assurance and Service Automation solution for mission critical and distributed networks is used by many leading tier-1 enterprises world wide to manage networks, servers and applications. With the brandnew release, Infosim adds outstanding VoIP support for Avaya, Cisco and Siemens VoIP systems. This enables management of VoIP infrastructures from a very high level down to each individual call. As StableNet^® can monitor the entire infrastructure end-to-end, troubleshooting of VoIP quality problems becomes easy. Problems can be identified and solved quickly - a quantum leap up from traditional VoIP monitoring solutions which fail in troubleshooting.

We added over 100 improvements, enhancements and upgrades in total since the release of version 5.5 in March 2011, making release 5.8 the largest feature update Infosim has ever made. The new version enhances the technical and operational scalability by optimizing data processing and increasing the level of automation. This enables a relatively small number of engineers to manage massive infrastructures from one single console. StableNet^® Telco 5.8 comes with new services modeling features to allow grouping of monitored sub-services into whole network and IT services.
StableNet^® Telco 5.8 also increases visibility into multi-vendor MPLS-based VPN services. The automatic discovery of MPLS environment components, their logical and physical relationships and topologies has been highly improved. This facilitates analyses by correlating attachment circuits with underlying infrastructures for automatic Root Cause Analysis.

StableNet^® Telco 5.8 features a new policy management subsystem, which enables the operator to actively verify device configurations for policy, security and configuration problems. The configuration and operational setups of devices are analyzed against engineering standards, taking the topology and device configuration into account dynamically. This enables operations to effectively keep track of complex multi-vendor setups in dynamic environments. In addition, it enables them to avoid downtime caused by configuration mistakes.
