Würzburg (Germany), February 12th, 2010 -- Infosim, a leading provider of ultra-scalable, integrated service assurance software announced the availability of StableNet Telco 5.2. Release 5.2 complements and reinforces Infosim's service assurance capabilities, adds support for IPv6 and reporting.
“The increasing use of carrier ethernet technology for mobile backhaul and for layer 2 VPNs makes troubleshooting service failures and performance problems more difficult,” explained Marius Heuler, Head of R&D at Infosim, and continues “Managing MetroE-based services requires an integrated layer 2 discovery. So far, the discovery and mapping of dynamic ethernet services has been a cumbersome and largely manual task. StableNet Telco 5.2 includes a highly advanced discovery which enables the NSP (Network Service Provider) to quickly identify and map services, customers, topologies and dependencies and the dynamic correlation in realtime.”
StableNet Telco's service management capabilities give NSPs complete visibility of their MetroE services and the supporting infrastructure. StableNet Telco automatically discovers the components associated with services, their configurations, and their inter-dependencies, allowing NSPs to monitor and manage the availability, performance, configuration, and delivery of services. Automated analysis and advanced integrations with other management tools enable comprehensive realtime application management, troubleshooting, service-level tracking and real-time reporting.
StableNet Telco 5.2 delivers more than 50 enhancements including:
- Support for IPv6
- Much enhanced Netflow reporting and monitoring
- Geo-Maps
- Enhanced scripting support
